LIO Policies and House Rules

Welcome to LIO (Liv in Out). As a responsible and caring housing Provider, we believe in promoting a Harmonious Living Environment, that is essential for the well-being and comfort of all residents. In order to achieve this, we have set out comprehensive policies and rules to promote mutual respect, safety and the overall quality of life within our premises for the residents.

Conduct & Behaviour

  1. It is the responsibility of the residents to cooperate with the fellow residents, LIO representatives, in night warden, housekeeping and security staff to ensure that all services are provided smoothly.
  2. Making disturbing noises or playing loud music between 10 pm to 6 am is strictly prohibited.

Pantry Rules

  1. Cooking of food in any area except the pantry room is strictly prohibited.
  2. Personal food items can be stored in common/personal refrigerators. The residents should adequately label their food items.
  3. The residents should ensure that the pantry area is clean after their use. All the used vessels / dishes should be placed in the sink, and any leftover and/or garbage must be thrown in the appropriate dustbins. The residents will be liable for damage to common appliances.

Utilities

  1. Make sure that all electric switches and appliance are switched off and water taps are closed when not in use.
  2. The management is not responsible for any shortage or no supply of electricity, water, cooking gas and internet.

Security & Safety

  1. The residents shall close the gates/doors after use and ensure it is locked at all times. The resident will be responsible for any loss or damage to the property of LIO due to such negligence.
  2. LIO is not responsible for loss of any private property belonging to residents. The are strictly advised to keep secure and lock all their valuables e.g. jewellery, mobile phones, laptop, watches, money etc. at all times. While going on leave, they must keep all their belongings securely packed and locked in their labeled bags and cupboards.
  3. LIO will not entertain any such claims for any loose or unsecured belongings of the resident.

Housekeeping

  1. Cleaning of the room will be carried out in the presence/absence of the resident. The residents are advised not to leave their valuables open and unsecured in their room. The belongings of the residents will be kept back in the same places after tiding up the rooms.
  2. The residents are expected to keep their surroundings neat and clean at all times.
  3. The residents are expected to co-operate in the periodic pest control /fumigation / preventive maintenance activity.

Usage of Electrical Appliances

  1. Usage of appliances like heaters, coils, iron boxes or any other heating / cooking electrical gadget is strictly prohibited inside the room.
  2. Residents found cooking inside a room using electric cookers, coffee makers, heaters or any combustible material; will be considered a violation and will be penalized.
  3. While leaving the room premises, residents to ensure that they switch off all lights, fans, electrical appliances including ACs, heaters, geysers, mosquito-repellant machines etc. Wastage of Electricity will be penalized.
  4. Residents should refrain from overloading the washing machines, ensuring that clothes are unloaded immediately after usage. In case clothes are found lying unclaimed, LIO staff will not be held responsible if misplaced.

Health

  1. The residents shall contact the LIO management immediately if any critical or transferable illness is detected to prevent the other residents from getting infected.
  2. The residents can reach out to the management for arranging medical support if any required.
  3. The residents must take care of their well being and health. LIO will not be responsible for any injuries, accidents or ill health of the residents while residing in the property.

Formal Complaints

  1. The residents shall inform the House Manager / LIO managment before dialing Government Emergency Contacts in case of any emergency.

Visitors

  1. Visitors are not permitted within the premises of the house.
  2. Visitor as parents, siblings and relatives will require special permission taken from the House Manager/LIO Management.

Smoking, Drugs & Alcohol

  1. Smoking and consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited within the properties of LIO. Further, possession and consumption of drugs are strictly prohibited on its Properties.

Care of the Building, Common Areas and Rooms:

  1. Vandalism is a serious offence. Vandalism shall mean and include any acts of destruction, damage, and defacement of any asset or property owned by LIO. The residents found guilty of committing such an offence are required to pay all costs incurred by LIO.
  2. The residents must keep the keys of their rooms and cupboard safe. In case of loss they will have to bear the cost of replacement of keys.

Rent and Payments

  1. The resident shall pay all fees and charges timely and in the manner prescribed as per their agreement.
  2. In case of continuous default of payments, LIO reserves the right for immediate termination of Agreement and evicting the defaulter resident.

Complaints Section

  1. LIO will send out feedback forms on a regular basis. All the residents are asked to fill in the forms so as to ensure the best delivery of services. Any complaints, suggestions or enquiries are always welcome.

Penalties and charges

General

  1. No animals and pets will be brought inside the house by any resident.
  2. The Management reserves the right to make spot checks on the houses and rooms without having to give prior notice to the residents.
  3. LIO will not be responsible for the misplacement of any packages/parcels received at the house. Residents are requested to coordinate & collect their parcels on their own.
  4. Electricians, contractors or any other service person may enter rooms as and when necessary in the course of their duty under the supervision of the LIO Representatives. LIO Representative shall ensure that all such activity is done in a manner which respects the privacy and dignity of the residents.
  5. Residents are not allowed to organise parties or get togethers in the premises of the house.
  6. The Management reserves the right to move residents to other rooms if there is a necessity or emergency.
  7. The Management reserves the right to revise the rules and regulations from time to time and will keep the residents informed of any changes in the form of notices.
  8. The resident is not allowed to bring their own mattresses, tables or any type of major equipment.
  9. The accommodation is meant for residential purpose only.
